Criteria For Making A High Court Appeal

Not all unsuccessful bid made in the Court Of Appeal can be heard in the High Court. There are certain criteria that must be satisfied so that an appeal may be entertained by the High Court.

Below is the list and the case must satisfy at least one of them:
1.    The case is of public importance
2.    The case requires final resolution
3.    The case requires consideration by the High Court in the interest of administration of justice.

Parties making an appeal must convince the High Court that the appeal has special merits through a preliminary hearing.
